What a weekend!

Virtually a clean sweep of wins this week and bundles of goals hitting the opposition nets well done to all Youth teams! More importantly some glowing reports from all the coaches about how their teams are learning and progressing.

Chatham Town FC 5-3 Staplehurst monarchs FC
U14 MBPL: Challenge Cup quarter final

A great mental and physical challenge for the lads today and after dominating the chances they somehow found themselves a goal down, but that’s why we love the game! The lads dug in and performed so well with great attacking play they pulled it back and then went three in front. The game wasn’t done there and with a lapse of focus the game was back to 4-3,but the lads knuckled down and finished the game off with the fifth goal. The management team were really proud of the lads determination today and now look forward to the semi-final, Up The Chats
Goals from Wassim 2, Andrew, Freddie and Jack W

U12 Colts – 11-0 win in league cup vs Borough Green. Really strong team performance and continued to get stronger in the second half. Two hatricks from Josh and Max and a clean sheet for Jack 👍. Boys continuing to learn from previous matches…really positive response following last weeks loss.

U15s went down away to one of the title favourites Sevenoaks. 2-0 down after 20 mins the lads showed real character grabbing a goal back to come in at half time 2-1 down. The score remained like that until the 63rd min, where eventually Sevenoaks power showed, 2 goals in 3 mins killed the game off.

Chats u11s were comfortable winners over Medway Utd. Today was a display from a group of players that consistently made good decisions. Moving the other team with their passing to create gaps and spaces to provide their team mates with opportunities to score.

Set pieces perfectly executed – superb deliveries from Dillon Simmons today and could of been more.

Even when going ahead by a big margin the lads continued to play such good controlled football.

Today shows how the boys are progressing and can play when the surface allows them to play “their” game

U10s played a cup game against Borough Green today. They boys defended well, passed well, had so many attempts on goal that were just not meant to be, a lot of ground covered by Alex and there were some good saves from Louie. But in the last quarter Oliver scored the winning goal. Final score Chatham Town 1 Borough Green 0. Up the Chats!!

There were no games for u13, u13 Colts or Ladies u14s.

Under 16’s at home to Whyeleafe FC winning 2-1 . A great battling performance from lads going into half time 0-1 down . It’s been a difficult few weeks and the lads fully deserved the win today showing great character with goals coming from Femi Kuku and Harry Brill both well taken . Man of match goes to Harry Prentice outstanding performance at left back 👍⚽

U14s KYL won 3-0 and controlled the game at Kings Hill, limiting the opposition to very few promising attacks. UpTheChats !!!

Under 8s had a round robin event in the Medway Messenger tournament. First game we beating Pegasus 2-1 and 2nd game drew 2-2 with Medway United. Medway also beat Pegasus 2-1, so we had a penalty shoot out to determine the overall winner. Just 3 pens each and the boys lost 2-1. Really tough on them as they deserved to win both games outright
